The Young Adult Program at the Job Training Center is here to help you launch your future. If you’re between the ages of 18 and 24 and you’re figuring out your next steps — whether it’s landing your first job, picking a career path, or leveling up your skills — we’ve got your back.
Think of us as your personal career team. We’ll connect you with job opportunities, training programs, and real support to help you build a future you’re excited about.
This program is based on eligibility — but don’t worry, we’ll walk you through it. Reaching out is the first step, and we’ll help you figure out the rest.

“I’m here to support you as you step into the next chapter of your life — whether that’s landing your first job, figuring out what comes next, or building confidence along the way. Together, we’ll work at your pace to create a path that fits you. I’ll help with resumes, interview prep, career guidance, and more — always in a way that meets you where you’re at. My goal is to give you the tools, support and encouragement you need to become the best version of yourself. This journey is yours– and I’m here to walk it with you.”

Bryson's Story

Bryson shares his experience of navigating life after high school and the uncertainty of what path to take. Through the Job Training Center’s Career Expo, he was able to explore a variety of hands-on opportunities, from culinary experiences to operating heavy equipment, that helped him discover new interests and strengths. His story highlights how taking a chance and exploring available resources can open your eyes to new possibilities and inspire confidence in your future.

The “toolbox” in this program isn’t a physical box — it’s a way of describing all the resources, training, and support that the Young Adult Program gives young adults to help them succeed in work and life. 2. Does it cost anything to join?

Nope! The program is completely free.

3. Do I need to have job experience to qualify?

Not at all. This program is designed to help you even if you’ve never had a job before.

4. What kind of jobs can I get help finding?

Jobs vary, but staff help match you with local opportunities based on your interests, skills, and goals — including entry-level positions and career-path jobs.

5. What is On-the-Job Training (OJT)?

OJT lets you earn a paycheck while learning new skills at a real job. The employer trains you, and you get paid during the learning process.

6. What if I don’t know what I want to do yet?

That’s totally okay. A career advisor will help you explore your interests and figure out what might be a good fit.

7. What is Career Technical Education (CTE)?

CTE includes hands-on training in specific careers like Medical Assisting or Welding — and the program can help you access these options at little or no cost.
