If you need to post a job, simply call, email or complete the Job Order Form and one of our Business Services staff will get your recruitment started. Once we have the information we need, we’ll create a job flier. We’ll share the posting with staff, partner agencies and key contacts. We’ll include your position in a weekly eblast and post on our Facebook page and Instagram. We’ll also post the job on our website via NorthStateJobs.com and on our Hot Jobs Wall. Your Business Services Representative will check in with you to see how the recruitment is going.
Preparing to Hire
The best time to hire is after you’ve spent time preparing to hire. Our Business Services Staff will walk through the major elements of a solid hiring plan and can offer services and tools along the way. Taking these steps will leave you confident in the process and in your hiring decisions.
Talent Recruitment & Outreach
Our Business Services Reps will work with you to explore strategies for finding the right talent. Have you considered promoting someone? Do you have a good trainer on staff that can develop talent? Is there a skill set that is similar to another industry? Are students graduating from programs with the skills you’re looking for? Meet with a Business Services Rep to start developing your plan.
Prescreening & Applicant Referral
For full time positions, staff is happy to meet with candidates to for a first or prescreen interview. Notes are captured based on questions related to the position and that feedback is shared with you. Staff is also meeting job seekers daily and making job suggestions. Those applicant referrals are also managed by your Business Services Reps.
Interview Facilities, Questions and Assistance
Job Training Center has several interview rooms and small conference rooms available for holding interviews and staff training. Staff is also happy to sit in and assist during interviews, providing another perspective. If you need interview questions, we’re happy to provide questions designed with your position in mind.
Confirm that your job applicant has the skills needed for your position. Job Training Center can test applicants utilizing specialized software in virtually every industry. Hundreds of skills and behavioral assessments are available as a resource to you.
Job Training Center Hiring Events: Throughout the year, businesses will ask to host a hiring event on site. It can be for just a few hours or all day. We will market your event and staff will be available to assist. Ask a Business Services Rep if you are interested in hosting a Hiring Event.
Community Hiring Events & Job Fairs: The Job Training Center participates in several community hosted Hiring Events and Job Fairs each year and showcases open positions at those events. If you’d like to be notified about Community Hiring Events and Job Fairs, let a Business Services Rep know.
